Hey friends!

Our days working from home are quickly coming to an end as everyone is asked back to the office! Although it's been a while since we've had to change out of pajamas and actually sit at a desk there's no need to fret since I'll be sharing 5 tips on how to make your transition to the office easier!

1. Set yourself up for success... the NIGHT before!

To make your morning routine smoother, make it a goal to set everything out the night before to ensure you have what you need. Prep your lunch, lay out your clothes, and set your work bag with whatever you'll need. By preparing your things ahead of time, you spend less time pacing around the house more time getting to work on time. That's a win!

2. Find a routine and stick to it!

Think of it as a "nighttime" routine - it can consist of anything that allows you to relax and wind down for a good night's rest. Be open to finding things that work best for you since everyone is different. That may be putting your phone away 30 minutes before you go to bed, listening to an audiobook or relaxing music, drinking some tea, or journaling. Regardless of what exactly it is you do, making it a constant part of your routine will train your mind to recognize it's time to go to bed!

3. Make it your own!

We've grown accustomed to our make shift offices and comfortable spaces at home - going back into the office might sound daunting! I highly recommend bringing in things that might make you feel more at ease. In my last job, I had a blanket I would pull out once it got cold later on in the day and my favorite coffee mug that I kept at work! Keep a stash of your favorite snacks nearby, your go-to coffee, or a familiar pillow - make the space your own!

4. Mindset is everything!

It really is! Keeping a positive outlook is so important, especially as we navigate the post-pandemic world and start to figure out what our "new" normal looks like. It's also important that you make sure to keep your energy levels high! You can do this by continuing to think positively, treating yourself to your favorite foods or activities, and making time for yourself and loved ones!

5. But above all... move at your own pace!

There are still a lot of unknowns as we start going back to work, school, and everything in between! The most important thing to remember though, is to do what feels best! Show yourself some grace and make sure to set comfortable boundaries that work for you by being transparent with your team and coworkers.

What tips are you using as you ease your way back to in-person work? We'd love to hear it - so share them with us in the comments below! As always, check out our latest post here :)

Stay safe!
